Adhir Chowdhury criticizes Mamata Banerjee, highlights casualty in WB Panchayat Election

State Congress President, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary, launched a scathing attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee regarding the violence that occurred during the Panchayat elections in the state.

Chowdhary highlighted the death of an individual who used to offer Namaz five times a day, emphasizing the extent of the violence. During his visit to Murshidabad to meet the families of deceased Congress workers, Chowdhary expressed concerns about the rising violence even after the elections.

Unconfirmed sources claim that 20 people lost their lives in Bengal on the day of voting, with 9 deaths reported in Murshidabad alone. Instances of bloodshed have been reported from various areas, including Khargram, Rejinagar, Lalgola, and Beldanga.

Chowdhary condemned the alleged violence orchestrated by the ruling Trinamool Congress and questioned Mamata Banerjee's role in the deaths. He criticized the continuation of violence even after the elections, calling for accountability from the Chief Minister.

Expressing fear of further violence on the day of vote counting, Chowdhary highlighted the deteriorating law and order situation in Bengal. He criticized the Election Commission's handling of the situation and vowed to protest against the killings.

The election results are expected to be declared on July 11, and Chowdhary anticipated another tense day for Bengal. He called for unity against the Trinamool Congress and expressed disappointment with the police's alleged alignment with the ruling party.
